Background
A five-star leisure hotel in the heart of Hanoi, with storytelling in its bones and some of the best restaurants in the city under its roof—Capella Hanoi is a hotel like no other. Bill Bensley, mastermind of some of the world’s great hotel concepts, has infused storytelling into every inch of Capella Hanoi, with details brought to life by more than 1,000 installations of props and antiques, and one-of-a-kind portrait work from in-house craftswoman Kate Spencer.
Capella Hanoi introduces the energy and excitement of the 1920s to Hanoi, right when the city is experiencing its own blooming of culture and creativity. A celebration of life, opera and the arts, the hotel draws upon the vibrant energy of the roaring 1920s to bring guests an exciting, transporting experience that includes real life performances and positions them as the stars.
This is the first hotel operated in Vietnam by the Singapore-based Capella Hotels & Resorts. The hotel has just 47 rooms, which means it can take a boutique approach, with 5-star heft. What would-be competitors must do at scale, Capella can do individually: no two rooms are the same, just as no two stays are the same.
Capella engaged Fourdozen in 2022 to become its lead agency, handling all of the hotel’s marketing, public relations, and digital advertising efforts.
Our Big Idea
Fourdozen’s work promoting Capella Hanoi has been as diverse as the stories contained within the hotel’s very walls. Our team has worked hand-in-glove with the Capella team during the property’s grand opening and post-COVID launch in May 2022, which is where we put to use our video team to produce the opening’s lead spot, which would later form a centerpiece of the Capella Hanoi website.
Shot on-site over two days, the video connects Capella Hanoi with the city in which it’s located, focusing the viewer on craftsmanship, luxury, and attention to detail.
The Road Ahead
Capella Hanoi’s ambitions are nothing less than being the greatest hotel in Vietnam. Our project is bringing that special feeling to life through a harmonized campaign that includes public relations, advertising, social media, and content.
